What happens during production

Once you confirm voices, our pipeline generates, in order:

  • Narration & dialogue — every line of your scene, spoken in its assigned voice.
  • Foley — sound effects cued to specific moments in the scene, either AI-detected or ones you hint yourself.
  • Ambience — a background soundscape matching the setting, shifting wherever you've placed an Ambiance hint.
  • Music — an original score, shifting wherever you've placed a Music hint.

Ambience and Music each default to one continuous mood for the whole scene, but move independently of each other the moment you start hinting — see Character Casting for how to place Music, Ambiance, and Foley hints directly in your text.

These are mixed together into one final production, along with a separate, perfectly-synced isolated track for every character (plus Foley, ambience, and music) — so you can remix or repurpose any element on its own.

Good & Fast vs. Premium & Expressive

Before starting production, choose a quality tier on the Voices tab:

  • Good & Fast — the same voice, generated quickly. Delivery tags (whispers, shouts, etc.) are not performed.
  • Premium & Expressive — the same voice, but performs delivery/emotion tags for real (a whispered line actually sounds whispered) — at the cost of noticeably slower generation, both for previews and full production.

This choice affects both the "Preview" button and the real production, so what you hear in preview always matches what you'll get.

If production fails

On the rare occasion a production run fails, the Tracks tab shows what went wrong and offers a Retry Production button — no need to re-upload or re-cast anything.

Ordering another take

Not happy with the result, or want to try a different cast, voice, or set of hints? Click Clone next to any production to make a brand-new take — it starts back at Character Review with the same text, cast, and voice casting already in place, so you can adjust anything before producing again. Nothing is generated (and nothing is charged) until you confirm characters and pay a fresh deposit on the clone; your original take, its tracks, and your payment history for it are untouched.
